Valentine’s Eve, but what?
It’s not anything special.
What did I do today that would make a day worthwhile?

Today, I had to fix the cupboard door.
The knob has been “broken” or actually the screw was sticking out.
I had to take the door off the hindge and see what the whole situation was.

Got it fixed in no time.
Found out I just needed to use a washer so that it stays in.
I won’t go into the details.

I’ve been struggling with zoom for many times and yesterday, I almost threw a big fit.
The conclusion is that I hate zoom but people use that and it’s so popular.
It’s not bad if you are just a spectator but if you are an admin, and trying to record and have a big responsibility on your back, it’s the worst app ever. It’s so unreliable.

This morning, I had to write up minutes of yesterday’s BoD meeting.
Why me everytime?
Well, I guess no one can write up a minutes and sum everything up.
I don’t know if that’s a special talent or not.
I’ve been doing this for over 30 years, ever since I joined Minolta in 1990 as a rookie engineer having to sum everything up and write the minutes. You really need vocabulary and fast typing skills.
I type fast, although I do make spelling errors and in Japanese, the problem is choosing the correct Kanji to explain the situation.

I’ve never went to a shorthanded writing school or anything but I cover it up by typing fast.
But what I really need is a good keyboard to do that.
I haven’t met a decent keyboard in the past 20 years.
I’ve spend thousands and thousands of dollars on keyboard and not yet found a good enough keyboard that’ll satisfy my needs.

The best was the old AT motherboard keyboard which came with my Dell PC which I bought in 1990.
But it’s unusable nowadays due to interface.
AT to PS/2 adapter, then to USB won’t get me enough juice (power) to fire up the keyboard and work correctly.

By the way, mouse and trackpad are another issue in fast typing and fast work.
I use both.
